Spring is on the Horizon

| Wearing: | Dress - Aritzia | Shoes: Jeffery Campbell | Shades: House of Harlow | Bracelets: ASOS and Forever 21 |

This is actually a post that I prepared last summer... I miss my tan, my blonde hair, and the fact that I am wearing an over-sized Aritzia tee shirt as a dress. It's so comfortable and effortless to wear, I could literally move right in and never take it off. And let's be honest, I have quadzilla running legs - if I can wear this 'dress', so can anyone.

The chunky Jeffery Campbell shoes are probably the most comfortable platforms I own.  I can literally wear them for hours on end.

The weather is warming, the snow is melting, and soon our bare legs will be in view.

90s are back BABY

| Wearing: | Sweatshirt - Aritzia | Denim - Joe's Jeans | Pumps - Nasty Gal | Rings - Stella & Dot and Jewelmint | Arrow Necklace - Stella & Dot | Lipstick - Nars |

90s…. Cara Delevingne…. Need I say more.  I will be honest, I wasn’t keen on all of the 90s styles that have been making appearances this year.  But I do love hoodless sweatshirts, ripped jeans, bright lipsticks, flannels, and platform runners.  This look is totally inspired from my favorite, most laid back, 20 year old model Cara Delevingne.  The bold-browed Brit hit the 2013 runways, most notably London Fashion Week where she walked eight different catwalks. Her animated media pics and off-duty sartorial swagger have endeared her to the masses. Everything she wears seems to become an instant trend, even when what she wears is a  “weathered” tee shirt. With a company in the works, I can hardly wait to see what this model’s line up will entail.

I remember when wearing over sized tee shirts and button ups tied around their waist was totally rad.  Coming from a generation of bold prints, cartoon inspirations and grunge edge, 90s fashionistas are bringing back the quirkiest trends of their day in a bold way. This season, we’re seeing inspiration from our childhood favorites dominating blogs, runways, and stores across the fashion scene. Can’t wait to see what spring will bring.

A Suitable Lifestyle

"Ignoring your passion is slow suicide. Never ignore what your heart pumps for. Mold your career around your lifestyle, not your lifestyle around your career."

Whilst I will admit blogging hasn't been on my list of top priorities as of late, after reading this quote I felt inspired to write a blog post.

Fashion is my true love and number one passion. I don't have a million followers on my blog and my posts are pretty much like every other one out there. But at the end of the day I love it. It keeps me sane in my crazy new world and I do it for me.

By day I am a passionate electrical student and by night and weekend I am an enthusiastic fashion lover and supporter. Often times when I get home and take off my Carhartts, I curl my hair, put on lipstick and drape myself in pearls. I absolutely love my career choice and feel like I really followed my heart on this one. However, that doesn't mean I need to abandon the real me, the fashion lover.

I've also come to the conclusion that my blog does not have to be all about clothes and how I style my wardrobe. It is about MY passions and lifestyle.

I'll be in honest in that I was pretty miserable in the legal world and that gave me great motivation for change. Although change is scary, it can be more rewarding than you'll ever know.
