Cream Puff

| Wearing ASOS skirt | Aritzia top | Steve Madden pumps | Aldo belt | Urban Outfitters bag | Nasty Gal leopard ring |

I’m all about the short puffy skirt trend which is all ablaze on the runways now and in stores everywhere. I’ve always adored feminine dresses and skirts, but there’s something whimsical and adorable about short puffy versions. You can wear them anywhere – to work, coffee with the girls, or even for a night out on the town.
This style of skirt is the perfect piece to accentuate a small waste and hide a larger bottom. Take it from me, any article of clothing to make my butt look smaller I will try! Any high-wasted bubble skirt is a garment that requires a little bit of style structure to wear… you don’t want to wear something that is unstructured and lose yourself in a pile of poof altogether. They made to bring attention to the small of your waste, so play it up with something fitted and tucked in on the top. I love pairing this sort of outfit with sky-high heels to make my legs look like that of a gazelle… well kind of. I’ve also worn this skirt with a casual ribbed tank top and wedge sandals for Sunday dinner. Accentuate that tiny waist and have fun, the bubble skirt is hopefully here to stay.

Spring Stripes

 | Wearing Nordstrom jacket | Nine West boots | ASOS bow belt |

Headlining recent runway collections from Prada and Mark Jacobs, sleek stripes pack as much of a punch today as they did decades ago, when Coco Chanel and Audrey Hepburn broke out in this daring print. I am a sucker for stripes and anything nautical theme so I did not hesitate to jump on the band wagon. There is a big return to the simple, classic black and white theme this year. And what could be more timelessly stylish than simple stripes?

This amazing runway jacket is so striking and bold, I drooled over the ultra flattering black and white version I found at Nordstrom. For most fashionistas black and white has always been a go-to color palette for any outfit or event. This season these two functional shades come together in looks that are as classy as they are trendy. Stripes and nautical prints are nothing new but they are making appearances all over stores everywhere this year. Whether worn together on a striped blouse, or separately with pants and shirt, this is an easy trend because so many of us already have an array of black and white staples hanging in our closet.

Comfy Knit

|Wearing Hollister sweater | Le Chateau skirt | ASOS bracelets | Steve Madden booties | Revlon "Really Red" Lipstick|

Hollister knows how to make a good chunky sweater! I don’t normally shop at Hollister, but the odd hot item can be found there.  This look is all about being cozy on top and keeping it sparse on the bottom. Sweaters like this are so versatile.  I paired mine with a casual, thin cotton skirt from Le Chateau, but the outfit still looks put together and chic.  The chunky knit sweater is a trend that seems to stick around from seasons past.  Sweaters as such become total classics. The great thing about this look is you can look super put together while staying equally comfortable. It's a win-win!

Vancouver Fashion Week, what an experience! This was my first time attending a fashion week and it definitely will not be my last. I had the extreme honor of attending the shows and events as a representative for Fashion Weekly Magazine.

There were soooo many fabulous attendees and fashion icons amongst the crowds, I just couldn’t get enough.  I definitely recommend an event as such to any fashion lover such as myself!

White is the New Pastel

| Wearing J Brand jeans | Abercrombie blouse | Jessica Simpson pumps (in blue) | Nixon watch | ASOS bracelets |

In a sea of pastel-perfect shades this spring, I am making a whiteout statement with these amazing white skinnies.  Getting in on the minimalist look is easy, it’s all about finding the right white pant for your body.  Lets face it, we don’t have a perfect shape and dimple-free behind ( I know I sure don’t ). But these J Brand pants are a thick white denim with expert contouring.  Bear in mind that this minimalist trend calls for spotlighting the white piece, so keep the rest of your look simple and, if possible, opt for a dress shirt or blouse to keep the outfit chic and polished.
With white denim catching our fashionable eye, the trend can be crossed over into summer with the heat-resistant color.  They will look great paired with gladiator sandals and a flowy silk tank or crop top for effortless warm-weather appeal.
