Black and White

| Wearing Aritzia blazer | American Eagle shorts | American Apparel top | Aldo shoes | Stella & Dot necklace|

Shorts in winter… how sweet it was.  I love these white stand-out statement shorts.  I bought them for practically nothing on the sale rack at American Eagle two years ago and still can’t seem to get enough of them.  Getting in on the white minimalist is easy with key pieces like this.  These shorts can be dressed up or down, that’s the beauty of the neutral color.  White denim is so gorg, the different styles always seem to catch my keen fashion eye.
The white minimalist look is super easy to pull off but bear in mind that this trend calls for spotlighting the white piece, so keep the rest of your look simple.  I added a little bling with this fab Stella & Dot bib necklace.  This style is all about showing off your long legs. You can make it work for you with bare legs and some great heels.  For a dramatic “look at me” day, slip on a fab pair of knee-high boots and a great big handbag.

Bright Color, Bold Print

| Wearing Forever 21 top | Hudson jeans | Steve Madden shoes | Michael Kors watch | Armani sunglasses |

Spring 2012 is all about bright colors and prints.   I was recently in Phoenix for a little holiday and it was very exciting to see all the quirky new prints and bold colors that were littering the windows of all the stores and boutiques.  I can’t wait for spring to shed the jackets and rock all my new amazing colored items.

I am what you would call a die-hard black-on-black fashionista.  I love wearing dark colors and pairing dark colors with other dark colors.   As of late, and perhaps it is inspiration from all of the Fashion Weeks happening worldwide, bright colors and bold prints have taken my closet style by storm.  These attention-grabbing prints are a sure way to get you noticed, and in a bright and fun way.  I am so smitten with different shades of cobalt blue and the pattern on the back of this top really stands out and screams fab.   With the weather changing and the sun shining more frequently, there's no better way to take the gloom out of the remaining cold days of winter.

| Wearing Urban Outfitters chambray shirt | Forever 21 skirt | Aldo wedges | Michael Kors watch | Smith sunglasses | Aldo bracelets |

I remember the time when chambray was a style of shirt that working men wore to their jobs.  My dad was known to rock a chambray from time to time and now the trend has just taken off in both men’s and women’s wardrobes.  This faithful, comfortable fabric has gone from rugged to refined and chic.  I tucked my shirt into a striped mini to keep it clean and sharp and to tone down the toughness.  The soft cotton fabric is so easy to wear and can be switched and changed up for any outfit.  I’ve also paired this top with black skinnies, tights, and white denim cut offs.  It can also be layered over a dress (try beige lace) for a warmer, yet chic, look.

The weather is slowly changing into spring and chambray is now available in the form of dresses, pants, and shirts. The great thing about this trend is that, like your old favorite ripped pair of jeans, chambray can be paired with just about anything. So go ahead and lighten up your wardrobe with this amazing fabric.

Winter Bundle

| Wearing Calvin Klein jacket | Hudson jeans | Aldo riding boots | Volcom toque | wool scarf from Tokyo |

Well, I guess the groundhog was right… let it snow some more.  It’s easy to just want to stay in and drink hot chocolate by the fire with weather like this, so why not rock an adorable scarf and toque and embrace the snowflakes and help get you out of your winter funk.
Cure the wintertime blues with fashionable cold-day accessories like knit scarves, leg warmers, furry boots, pom pom hats, mitts and earmuffs. Make the best of the cold season this year and join in on some winter activities in a wool pea coat and some of these warm accessories. A sensible look that’s stylish as well.
Scarves are my absolute favorite accessory for any season.  I love them all: chunky, loosely knit, ultra-light silk, cotton or wool blends. All the better to keep you warm without compromising your inner fashionista’s desire to be right on trend!
With hot trends like these, winter doesn’t seem like quite such a chilly time of year anymore.

Valentine's LOVE

| Wearing Vera Moda blazer | Le Chateau body con dress | ASOS shoes | Michael Kors watch | H & M ring |

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!  Since Valentine’s Day falls on a weekday this year, juggling work and life after work can be hustle bustle for some. Planning an outfit that can transform from office to diva can save you a lot of time, worry and money.  The outfit that I am wearing can be altered with some brighter lipstick, a pair of killer heals and the option of removing the tights.  Pair some sparkly bracelets with this ensemble for a bit of sparkly appeal on Valentine's Day. However, my favorite part about this outfit is the detailing on the tights.  The jacket is very simple but is nicely accentuated with a slightly bold shoulder and a little bow on the back (hard to see in the picture).

If you are meeting your special someone or just friends later but won’t have time to rush home, pack a small bag with a few items to transform your everyday attire into amazing; it’s just that easy.

Whether you're single, crushing, or involved... there is no excuse for not taking some cues from the  fashionable Cupid when it comes to dressing up in the loving spirit.  Embrace the sea of red and join in on the festivities.

Casual Knit

| Wearing Aritzia blouse | Gap blazer | Hudson jeans | Nine West boots (similar style) | Michael Kors watch | Aldo & Stella  & Dot jewelry |

This picture was taken a few weeks ago after my city got blanketed in several inches of snow…clearly winter was far from over!

As you know, I am a huge fan of the blazer; I have so many in different styles, lengths and colors. Blazers are everywhere and this new knit style is more form-flattering, less boxy, and a little more casual, and therefore wearable. This blazer is great for any season because of the sleeve length.  I layered the knit blazer with a collared boyfriend dress shirt for a polished and sophisticated look. Many of options I’ve found are neutrals like, black, gray or tan, but if you can find one in another color or in a nautical stripes be sure to purchase! They have all the functionality of cardigans, but they’re edgier and way more stylish and modern!

Bell Bottom Come Back.

| Wearing Aritzia blazer | Aritzia top | Express jeans | Aldo bracelets | Michael Kors watch | ASOS leather bracelet | Revlon "Wine with Everything" lipstick |

Everything I am wearing in this outfit is recycled.  Although I have a pretty extensive wardrobe, I don’t have enough clothing to never blog the same pieces twice.  The black lace tank, that I have worn so frequently, is so French and chic that I can't seem to get enough of it.  Lace adorned fashions are very easy to find and pretty simple to incorporate into an outfit.

This season’s hottest trends seem to be wide-brimmed hats, bell-bottoms and short hemlines… so 70s hippy chic and I am loving every bit of it. You can work this look with bell-bottomed pants and a form-fitting shirt under a structured coat or blazer to keep it clean and classic.  These bell-bottomed jeans are so comfortable wear and fit beautifully.  They can pretty much be worn with any style of top, high shoes, and for any occasion.  That’s the beauty of dark denim, they are easy to dress up or down. Embrace your inner hippie and try out a pair, you will not be disappointed. If you are bold, try a high wasted pair for the ultimate blast from the past!
